The Italian Free Software Association has managed to get the Italian government to follow it's own rules on competition and considering free software in the tendering process by winning a major court case.
A largeish financial victory for free software, though peanuts for Microsoft. Is this purely a result of Italian law or does it have any implications for BECTA's new tendering framework and similar things in the UK?
