Phil Booth, national co-ordinator for No2ID, will be describing the latest decisive stages of the battle to stop ID cards in the UK.

FLOSSIE Annual Conference and Exhibition 2006

- Description: The theme for this year's conference, organised by Schoolforge UK is "Using Free/Libre and Open Source Software (FLOSS) for sustainable and inclusive educational technologies".
The conference is aimed at technicians, teachers and educational decision-makers who need to understand the growing impact of Open Source approaches in UK education. Participants will learn how the lower costs of FLOSS enable the expansion of school IT services, and how the Open Source paradigm supports exciting new methods of participative learning as well as broadening inclusion, both locally and internationally.
